Beijing Hutong
Hutongs are a kind of ancient city alley or lane that is typical in Beijing. Most of them are found around the Forbidden City, and many were built during the three dynasties of Yuan, Ming and Qing. Today, the hutong is a living museum of Beijing history, showing the traditional lifestyle of Beijing people.
The 798 Art Zone
"798" is located in the Dashanzi area, to the northeast of central Beijing. It is the site of state-owned factories including Factory 798, which originally produced electronics.
Factory 798 has become a significant enclave of contemporary artists and connoisseurs that spills out into the surrounding area.

Your "Citizen Life" excursion begins at Hutong by rickshaw for about 90 minutes.
Then you will move to the 798 Art Zone, which will leave you something totally new and different, mainly about modern art and contemporary artists live for and with art.
After that, you will pay a visit to Beijing Sun Village Orphanage (two hours) to learn more and have the opportunity to help disadvantaged youth.
Your lunch will be arranged at Sun Village with the children.
In the afternoon, you will visit Peking University (one hour), the most prestigious university in China.
Before transfer back to your hotel, you will visit China cloisonne factory (30 minutes) to look into the outstanding pieces of art in Chinese tradition.
